2) A young businessman had just started his own firm. He rented a beautiful office and had it furnished with antiques. Sitting there, he saw a man come into the outer office. Wishing to appear the hot shot, the businessman picked up the phone and started to pretend he had a big deal working. He threw huge figures around and made giant commitments. Finally he hung up and asked the visitor, "Can I help you?" The man said, "Yeah, I've come to activate your phone lines."
3)
At the height of the Mad Cow Disease...Two cows were munching on sweet grass one morning. One cow said to the other "hey, heard about the Mad Cow Disease? Scary stuff, eh?"The other cow continued munching nonchalently... munch munch.."Arn't you scared??" said the first cow."Nope, not at all, I am a rabbit."
4)
The following are questions actually asked by attorneys during trials in Massachusettes and, in certain cases, the responses given by insightful witnesses:
-"Now doctor, isn't it true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn't know about it until the next morning?"-"The youngest son, the twenty-year old, how old is he?"-"Were you present when your picture was taken?"
-"Were you alone or by yourself?"
-"Was it you or your younger brother who was killed in the war?"
-"Did he kill you?"
-"How far apart were the vehicles at the time of the collision?"
-"You were there until the time you left, is that true?"
-Lawyer : "So the date of conception (of the baby) was August 8th?"
-Mother: "Yes."Lawyer: "And what were you doing at that time?
-"Q: "She had three children, right?"
-A: "Yes."
-"Q: "How many were boys?"
-A: "None."
-Q: "Were there any girls?"
-Q: "You say the stairs went down to the basement?"
-A: "Yes.
-"Q: "And these stairs, did they go up also?"
-Q: "Mr. Slatery, you went on a rather elaborate honeymoon, didn't you?"
-A: "I went to Europe, Sir."
-Q: "And you took your new wife?"
-Q: "How was your first marriage terminated?"
-A: "By death."
-Q: "And by who's death was it terminated?"
-Q: "Can you describe the individual?"
-A: "He was about medium height and had a beard."
-Q: "Was this a male, or a female?"
-Q: "Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to a deposition notice which I sent to your attorney?"
-A: "No, this is how I dress when I go to work."
-Q: "Doctor, how many autopsies have you performed on dead people?"
-A: "All my autopsies are performed on dead people."
-Q: "All your responses must be oral, OK? What school did you go to?"
-A: "Oral."
-Q: "Do you recall the time that you examined the body?"
-A: "The autopsy started around 8:30 p.m.."
-Q: "And Mr. Dennington was dead at the time?"
-A: No, he was sitting on the table wondering why I was doing an autopsy."

          1d'o8 is loved <33
HEY HELLO 1d-ians !yeah my second time posting here. (: i decided to post cos i thought that not long later, my tag on the tagboard will be gone.
anyway i will remember
every single one of you, serious!
sorry for my sudden shriek in class sometimes, and yup i agree with lisa, although we are going to move on to secondary two, although we are going to different classes next year, i will still remember all the fun times we had [: especially during pe lessons, i love captain's ball. though the boys owned us like crap, but what matters most is that we had fun! and people try to go for class chalet alright! that might be the last time we can come together as a class to chit-chat, to play etc.
to the boys:
you boys really suck at times cos you all just refuse to co-operate, but i want to thank all of you for bringing laughter to the class. sometimes the lessons were simply so boring but your crap never fail to throw the class into fits of laughter. thank you!to the girls:
although we divided ourselves into little companies we were comfortable with, i want to thank all of you for your co-operation with the class. ;D you people are always willing to co-operate with the class and we were the ones who were willing to sacrifice our time to do up the notice board for the several competitions.especially the welfare ic as well as lisa. and lastly to my sisters, thank you for always being there for me, though there's no more mn now(this is to lisa and cuiwen), all of us are still the best of friends.though we quarrel at times, but we had loads of fun together! i would like to wish 1d all the best in future, and i will certainly remember those memories we once shared! <3with love,sylvia (;

          A final THANKIES to all...
             Hie all!!! ;D
Yuppies Im doing the same as CW but this is the only way to get to the whole class quickly.
I just want to thank everyone for EVERYTHING throughout the entire journey on the bumpy 2008 highway.
There were times when the road was filled with cracks at every corner and we faced pebbles, stones and even boulders on the road but we managed to get through them eventually. There were times when we felt disappointed, insecure and lonely... even now, when we are about to be separated into different classes. However, we must always remember that no matter what, the friends and mostly the wonderful memories we had as 1Dians will never fade...
Let us all just
Keep Moving Forward, make new classmates, friends and teachers but also not forgetting the 1Dians. :P
(Jolly time!!!) Wooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooo... SMiles? (Sry I was in a
SERIOUS mood while typing the top part but now Im CRAZY... no reason... hehe)
THANKIES to alllllllllllllll the Gals and BOYS from THE
1D and even all our Teachers. The distinctive noises and incidents from 1D will always stay in my head. The screams of the MNs, the arguing of the Boo Zen-talk-talk-with-Christopher, the
melodious music from the Boys' hand phones and the giggling of the ACC gang (Zhu Ge Liang, Qin Shi Huang, Liu BEI BEI, etc.)
This entire year has been an
EXTREMELY great journey in whole. no matter what the outcome of our class distribution, we must always
ADD OIL for our
studies and also in
gaming!!! (I guess Shawn and gang would be grinning at this point hah...no? hehe)
Finally, a last slap of ALL THE BESTAYS forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woooooooooooooo hoooooooooooo!!! Muahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! *hick... Smiles always!!! xD<<(
eyeless hehe!!!)
Best regards,
Lisa

          Homework; Class outing
             HOMEWORK!1. English Comprehension Worksheet.
2. History Workbook (If you've not completed it)
Hey 1D.I have discussed with Lisa about the class outing, at the same time, we would like your suggestions. If the venue decided on is BBQ, EVERYONE IS ENCOURAGED TO BRING FOOD. E.g. Fried rice, fishballs, snacks, chicken or something. However, we would need charcoals and all that in order to be able to BBQ. So, we might need your parents help to send it to ECP? As no one would bring a bag of charcoal to school. Agree? Or do you guys have any suggestions? BBQ is just part of lunch. We will be conducting some games like captain's ball on the beach, treaure hunt, things like that. I hope you guys would really give some suggestions. Tag in the tagboard yo. Thanks.
